Playing with Fisher

Fisher has one of the best imaginations! Sometimes I watch him
play and wish I could have as much fun as him with the simplest of toys.

Fisher is ALL boy and so different from me, he makes me laugh all day!
This is his mean dinosaur sound...

You never know what you are going to get with him and today was all about Jurassic Park. Yes, don't judge, my kids have seen it and love it! And yes that is permanent marker on his cheeks, he said it was whiskers...

Today was not a great day for the airplane pilot...

Of course the airplane had to crash and get eaten by the t-rex...

Choosing Joy!

Sadly, so many of my days are spent choosing to see the messes, headaches and craziness that comes along with four children. Instead of taking the time to remember to choose JOY!

It is so much easier to focus on all of the stuff that happens and not to be thankful for the precious lives that have been entrusted to me.

Life is crazy and hard, but at the end of the day I have never been promised anything better, but one thing that I can cling to is that the Joy of the Lord is my Strength! And boy, do I need some strength! He is bigger then the spills and bigger then the loads of laundry waiting to be done, and He is worthy of all of my praise.

I am so reminded in precious Harper that my life is so full of blessings and so full of love and ultimately that is a lot to be joyful about!

One day all of the messes will be gone and the sounds of toys banging on the wall will be quiet and I will long for the simple joys of kids playing mom and dad in the background. The dishes will be all put away and my mouthguard will be exactly where I put it last...

No one will be begging to drink all of my Dr. Pepper...

The bath tub will not be filled with barbies and bowls and spidermans...

So, today I am choosing joy no matter what is going on around me,
because life is good and full and fun!

The other day we went to the library, and it turned out to be such a great place to get some fun colorful pictures of all the kids! I am so excited with how they turned out!

TIme Flies!

I can't believe that my little Harper is already 1 month old. She is just the sweetest addition to our family. She has a very calm countenance, which is a huge blessing in a big family. I love her little self so much and I don't even know all about her yet!

Our prayer for Harper and for all of our kids is that God would intervene on their behalf and SAVE them. That they would live a life that glorifies Him in everything they say, do and think!

She reminds me everyday that life is precious and that I am in desperate need of a God who is full of patience, gentleness, kindness and joy!

Life with 4!

Having a family with 4 kids is often CRAZY and CHAOTIC...
but worth every second!

Fisher is my super passionate and full of imagination kid. Who keeps me laughing and wondering what he will come up with next.

Miles in one word right now is CRAZY! He is into everything and keeps me on my toes. You can not take your eyes off that one...

Grace could not be a better big sister. She helps me with everything and has such a sweet heart about it. I could not handle all four without her. She is going to make the most amazing mother one day!
Harper is just sweet right now. She fits perfectly into this big family and I can't wait to see how her personality molds into the rest of the bunch.

I am just so thankful for each one of my kids and how they challenge me and push me to grow deeper with God every day.

She is here!!!

After much anticipation, our sweet Harper Joy is here!
Only 5 hours shy of being born on Christmas day, she was welcomed on December 26, weighing in at 6 lbs 08 oz and 18 inches.

She is beautiful and perfect and the most wonderful fit to our family of 6, CRAZY!
